Fonda
Fonda
Fonda is a cute little popover top featuring a fun bobble/twisted rib motif, very loosely inspired by Jane Fonda’s wardrobe in The Electric Horseman. I know that’s a bit of a dated reference, but I can never predict where inspiration will come from! Fonda’s cropped fit is very easy to adjust if you prefer a longer fit. The sweater uses a tubular cast on and bind off- you can find links to tutorials for those techniques, as well as my preferred bobble-making method included in the pattern.
This pattern features some fun techniques including a tubular cast on and bind off, twisted stitches, and my new favorite type of bobble. I have included links to tutorials for all the techniques used in the design, so no need to fear if you haven’t done these before. I’ve got you!
I used Magpie Nest Worsted, a gorgeous non-superwash 100% Corriedale for this design. This yarn comes in so many stunning colors- you can check them out here!
